Meet the maker
Hi, I'm Julia. I am the owner, designer, and creator of Peony Pines Co. I have a Goldendoodle named Eleanor who is my best friend and best helper. Since she was a puppy, she has sat with me while I beaded, one of the best parts of my day. I live in the Pacific Northwest. I love the mountains and lakes all around. I feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of our country.
The Style
I started Peony Pines Co in 2023. I started with some bright Native American colors and patterns but noticed I loved the patterns but wanted some earthy tones. Overtime I found my niche in the chic and western designs with some Native American patterns mixed in.
I love to work with the blues, browns, and turquoises, and sometimes adding a splash of mustard mix. But you won't find me shying away from some of those cute pinks.
Each bracelet is my own unique pattern inspired by Native American and western designs. I also like to get inspiration and color pallets from Pendleton. Every design and pattern is unique to Peony Pines.

The Process
I create each bracelet on a modified bead loom. I use a technique called bead looming. This is done by weaving beads on thread horizontally over and under the threads that run vertically. It's almost like embroidery work but with beads.

The Materials
I use beads called Miyuki Delica Beads. These are glass beads that are precision cut. I love to use these beads because they give the most uniform and even look. I get most of my supplies from Local shop but also from some vendors around the country.
